Date For Your Diary: Going To Europe For Fertility Treatment? Here's What You Need To Know (From Someone Who's Visited Twice)
Sharing insights on July 24th @ 7pm BST in support of World IVF Day, to help you navigate fertility treatment in Europe
Instagram: @solofertility40s
This is Part Two in the fertility treatment in Europe series. Here is Part One.
First Spain, then Greece.
2024 was a year to remember - for all the wrong reasons.
Medication confusion.
Travel challenges.
IVF fails and trauma.
Aside from the difficult outcomes (because we cannot control nature) much of the additional stress could have been avoided.
On July 24th, I’ll share my experiences in a 90 minute free virtual meet up, covering:
Why I invested in clinics in Spain and Greece (and not the UK)
Sourcing meds using a foreign prescription
Why I found my first IVF cycle in Spain so traumatic
What happened when a Spanish clinic leaked my medical data
How my disastrous second IVF cycle in Greece could have been avoided
Taking care of yourself post-egg retrieval, as a solo woman
Making use of in-country pharmacies while you’re abroad
And plenty more
There will be time at the end for an Ask Me Anything.
This World IVF Day, I’d like to support women’s right to pursue (solo) motherhood - on their terms. I hope my insights will make opting for assisted fertility treatment a little easier.
Hope you’ll join me in the virtual greenhouse. No replay as some of the content will be sensitive personal information.

About Sarah
In 2024, Sarah founded Solo Fertility 40s to share about her IVF experiences. As a solo 43 year old woman, she was frustrated by the lack of online spaces catering specifically to solo women over 40. She struggled to find her tribe.
Other frustrations included the piecemeal or non-existent guidance for women over 40 who are considering, or getting started with fertility treatment. She found herself in a maze with no map, and consequently experienced far more stress and trauma. Sarah didn’t want other women to go through the same.
Solo Fertility 40s is targeted at solo women over 40 - but all are welcome.
